Just in time for the summer season, the Library will offer the 4-H Babysitting Course presented by Barnstable County 4-H Program Associate Deena Dries from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sat., June 22. The $25 fee includes a course manual. Please note, this program has reached maximum capacity and we are no longer taking registrations.
This course is for children ages 11 and older. We must have a minimum of 10 participants to run the course, which has 15 spaces available. Students will learn to become responsible babysitters with sessions covering child safety, first aid and emergencies, feeding and nutrition, stages of child development, discipline, ways to entertain children, and how to manage the business of babysitting. Participants should bring a brown bag lunch and drink. The course will be held in the lower level activity room at the library.
