Join us with your friends and explore your inner detective, as we solve this shocking crime. Local resident, Lisa Rudy has written this play especially for the Library’s Murder Mystery event this year. The actors in the play are local residents and have played parts in past murder mystery events at the library and some have also participated in local theatre presentations. Light refreshments will be served during the event, including a specially decorated cake for dessert.

The setting: Pre WWI, Edwardian, late March at the local library circa 1910. Library patrons and donors are invited to the Library on the island to celebrate a large donation made by Elmer Snodgrass for the rare book collection.  Unfortunately the causeway gets flooded and the guests are stranded when murder ensues! Attendees will be part of the mystery theatre as the guests at the gala event and can choose to attend in formal dress attire, of the Edwardian times of 1910, which can include top hats, formal suits, gala gowns, jewels and white gloves. If you have watched the early Downton Abbey shows, that is the era.
