Carafoli’s talk accompanies his book, in which he explores the culinary history of Italian cuisine in New England through recipes, historical and modern photographs, profiles and interviews with local chefs, pizzeria owners, butchers and specialty shops purveyors. Carafoli will be offering tastings from recipes that appear in his book.
John F. Carafoli is an international food stylist, consultant, food writer and wrote the seminal book “Food Photography and Styling”, and two children’s cookbooks. He has been published in Gastronomica, The Journal of Food and Culture, The New York Times, The Boston Globe, and Edible Cape Cod. Carafoli has been featured on the Food Network’s Ultimate Kitchens, and NPR. He also conducts culinary food, music and culture tours to Italy. Carafoli lives in West Barnstable, Massachusetts.
