SUMMARY:AT CAPACITY Tea Time Book Club – The Berry Pickers by Amanda Peters
DESCRIPTION:This meeting is full. The Tea Time Book Club meets once a month on the third Thursday at 6 p.m. Each time we meet, we’ll enjoy tea and take some time to catch up and get to know each other. We’ll discuss the book of the month and everyone will have an opportunity to recommend a book for the group to vote on for upcoming months. Due to popular demand, we have added an Extra Cup of Tea Time Book Club the fourth Thursdays at 6pm. They will discuss the same titles as the original Tea Time.\nThe June 18 selection is The Berry Pickers: A Novel by Amanda Peters. A four-year-old Mi’kmaq girl goes missing from the blueberry fields of Maine, sparking a mystery that will haunt the survivors, unravel a family, and remain unsolved for nearly fifty years.\n“The Berry Pickers offers an unforgettable exploration of grief, love, and kin.” —Jenny Bartoy, The Boston Globe\n\n“Peters’ debut combines narrative skill and a poignant story for a wonderful novel to which many readers will gravitate . . . Indigenous stories like this matter.” —Booklist\n \n \n \n \n
