Cape Cod – The Cradle of Invasion for America in WWII

 

Presented by Joseph Yukna of the Cape Cod Military Museum, Thursday, March 5th, 5:30pm-7:30pm. Learn how Cape Cod hosted the Amphibious Training Command and the Engineer Amphibious Command at Camp Edward and its satellites. Amphibious theories, vehicles, tactics, and equipment were all tested and developed on Cape Cod and the Islands. Men trained here landed on beaches from Normandy to Okinawa!
