Winter/Spring 2025 Selections:

January 14th: Lula Dean’s Little Library of Banned Books by Kirsten Miller – “A pointed, punchy, and potent thriller…wry and clever, serious and exacting, and masterfully suspenseful.” — Booklist (starred review)

February 11th: The Spy Who Came in From the Cold by John le Carré – “The best spy story I have ever read.”—Graham Greene; “First-rate and tremendously exciting.”—Daphne du Maurier

March 11th: The Women by Kristin Hannah – “Hannah is in top form here… Hannah’s real superpower is her ability to hook you along from catastrophe to catastrophe, sometimes peering between your fingers, because you simply cannot give up on her characters. She gathers women into the (Vietnam) experience with moving conviction.” ―The New York Times

April 8th: The Frozen River by Ariel Lawhon – “A tense yet tender story about a remarkable woman meant to be remembered.” Women’s World

May 13th: The Heaven and Earth Grocery Store by James McBride – “Enchanting . . . [a] rich, carefully drawn portrait of a Depression-era community of African Americans and Jewish immigrants as they live, love, fight, and, of course, work.” —The Boston Globe
