February Artist of the Month – Lisa Jo Rudy

Beginning Tuesday, February 2nd – Lisa Jo Rudy has been exploring the possibilities of digital and iphone photography since she arrived on Cape Cod in 2007.  Her work has received awards in juried shows, and has been selected for inclusion in the Cape Cod Arts Foundation’s shows at the Cotuit Center for the Arts, in the All New England show at the Cape Cod Art Association, and in the Emerging Artists’ Show at Preservation Hall in Wellfleet.

This show, “West Falmouth Light,” explores the beauty and mystery of some of the well-known and lesser-known harbors, farms and bays of West Falmouth Village and beyond.  Using a variety of digital techniques, Lisa has created “painterly” images of West Falmouth Harbor in summer and winter; sunset over Great Sippewissett Marsh; mist and “magic” at Chappoquoit, and more.

The show will be exhibited at the Library through Thursday, February 25. Sale of the work benefits the library and the artist.
