2020 Schedule:

1/14 – This Tender Land by William Kent Krueger. 2/11 – The Age of Innocence by Edith Wharton. Summary from CLAMS: An elegant portrait of desire and betrayal in Old New York. In the highest circle of New York social life during the 1870’s, Newland Archer, a young lawyer, prepares to marry the docile May Welland. Before their engagement is announced, he meets May’s cousin, the mysterious, nonconformist Countess Ellen Olenska, who has returned to New York after a long absence.

3/10 – Rules of Civility by Amor Towles. Summary from CLAMS: A chance encounter with a handsome banker in a jazz bar on New Year’s Eve 1938 catapults Wall Street secretary Katey Kontent into the upper echelons of New York society, where she befriends a shy multi-millionaire, an Upper East Side ne’er-do-well, and asingle-minded widow.

4/14 – Manhunt: The 12-Day Chase for Lincoln’s Killer by James L. Swanson.
