Kanopy FAQs: 

Who can use Kanopy? 

Kanopy can only be used by patrons with a library card issued by specific libraries. As a West Falmouth Public Library card holder, you are able to use Kanopy and access the Falmouth Public Library’s Kanopy content. 

How many films and/or TV show episodes can I watch a month? 

You can watch up to 4 titles per calendar month. 

Do I need an internet connection to use Kanopy? You will either need to use cellular data or Wi-Fi to browse and to watch the title. Films and TV show episodes can’t be downloaded to your device. 

How can I watch only using Wi-Fi? Tap “More” in the menu and select “Settings.” Then switch the “Cellular Data” toggle off. 

How can I adjust the video quality? Tap “More” in the menu and select “Settings.” Then select “Video Quality” and tap “Auto” to play videos at the highest quality possible. 

How do I enable closed captions (CC) or subtitles? While watching the title, tap the speech bubble in the upper right corner of your screen. Then select an available language. Some titles might not offer CC or subtitles. 

I set up my Kanopy account using my Google login. How do I access my account on my Fire tablet? 

Your Google login is not supported on Amazon devices, so you’ll need to add a password to your account. To add a password, log in to your account from a web browser, select your name in the top-right corner, then select “My Account.” Select “Edit” to add your password. You can also request a password reset from the Kanopy app login screen.
