WAYS OF GIVING
The West Falmouth Library seeks to make your donor experience comfortable and rewarding. There are a variety of tax friendly gift options available to support the Capital Campaign. We would be pleased to discuss your options, but it is expected that donors will consult with their own financial, tax and legal advisors before finalizing a contribution and to determine if your gift is deductible.

Donors may spread their pledge payment up to five years in order to make larger commitments and fulfill them at a comfortable pace. Please download and print the WFL Pledge Form here. Pledge forms are also available at the library.
Donate by Check
Checks may be made out to: West Falmouth Library (please designate ‘for Capital Campaign‘) and mailed to PO Box 1209, West Falmouth, MA 02574. Or drop your check off at the library.

Gifts of Cash
Many donors choose to make gifts of cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, money order, bank draft, or through our website. Gifts to the West Falmouth Library are tax deductible if the donor itemizes their deductions. Please download and print the WFL Pledge Form here. Pledge forms are also available at the library. You may mail your gift to the West Falmouth Library, P.O.Box 1209, West Falmouth, MA 02574 or drop it off when you visit the library.
Gifts of Securities
Donors who choose to give appreciated securities may receive a charitable tax deduction for the full market value of the securities and avoid capital gains tax if the donor has owned the asset for at least a year. To avoid capital gains taxes, you must provide the securities themselves, not the proceeds of their sale. These gifts may be deducted at fair market value on the date of transfer to the West Falmouth Library. In giving appreciated assets, please contact Lorrie A. Leonard at Rockland Trust, (508)420-2140. You must describe what is being delivered, stock name, stock symbol and the CUSIP number. The DTC participant #2039, Agent Bank #94952, Internal Account #11160/273500.
Please also contact the West Falmouth Library when transferring securities so that we know to look for their arrival. Contacting your broker alone may not insure proper or timely gift crediting.
Gifts of Real Estate
You can make a gift of real estate outright.
Retained Life Estate
You can give your personal residence to the West Falmouth Library yet retain the right to live there for the rest of your life. As long as you live in your home, you remain responsible for its maintenance and upkeep.
Memorial or Honorary Gift
If you have a family member or friend whose life has been touched by the West Falmouth Library we hope you’ll consider making a gift to us in honor of that person. Providing a gift establishes a living tribute that allows you to honor a loved one or yourself, support our continuing efforts and receive personal financial benefits from your contribution.
Honoring Donors to the Capital Campaign
There are many ways to become part of the history of the West Falmouth Library while contributing for future generations. In order to publicly honor and pay tribute to our capital campaign donors, the West Falmouth Library Circle of Donors has been created for the Campaign. Gifts of any size are gratefully appreciated.
Donors giving at or above the $1,000 level over a five-year pledge period will be recognized in a special area of the Library.
