West Falmouth Library Family Book Group

Three meetings: Tuesday, March 8 (Falmouth Public Schools early release), Sunday March 20, and Sunday April 3.  All meetings @ 3pm. Free. Please call 508-548-4709 or stop by the library to register.

The group will be reading Little House on the Prairie and Farmer Boy by Laura Ingalls Wilder. The Book Group will be led by educator Andrea Thorrold and is open to children ages 6 and older (and can include adults reading to children).

These special books will delight children and adults alike.  Wilder’s books explore themes of family, friendship, and experiences on the new frontier.  The stories will keep you turning the page and children begging for “just one more chapter”.
Each session will have activities, crafts, and foods that will complement the books and help participants explore facets of life on the American frontier. We will compare and contrast the lives of two young children growing up in a time where America itself was growing.
