Yoga with Chelsea
We are happy to announce Yoga with Chelsea, Wednesdays starting May 6, from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. Chelsea’s class is gentle and appropriate for beginners. At the same time, almost everyone will find challenge in it, since we work with a range of skills: balance, strength, mobility, coordination, mental focus, and the skill of relaxing. Yoga is great at finding those neglected or hurting parts of our bodies and coaxing them into more freedom of movement, ease, and grace.
Classes include brief periods of quiet meditation, movement in and out of yoga poses, movement explorations influenced by various somatic traditions besides yoga, and there is always a period of quiet resting at the end of class, for a chance to enjoy all the benefits. After class, students tend to feel lighter, looser, and more clear-headed and connected.
Please bring a yoga mat if you have one. If you don’t, there will be several to borrow. Other props you might have, such as blocks, are helpful to bring as well.
