The Library’s annual plant bulb sale returns! Bulbs for fall planting can be ordered online or at the Library until Thursday, September 18th. Bulb orders will be available for pick up at West Falmouth Library in October.

This award-winning 1952 bi-color has a partially overlapping, glistening white perianth and a trumpet-shaped, brilliant golden-yellow cup with ruffled edge. The cup pales to lemon-yellow as it matures.

This 1975 Grant Mitsch lemon-yellow hybrid has a star-shaped, 4”-wide perianth and a cylindrical trumpet with a slightly flared and rolled, wavy, almost toothy, rim. The elegant trumpet gradually matures to high contrast, bright white with a white halo around its base.

The legendary Trumpet Daffodil King Alfred, so registered in Great Britain in the 1890s, set the platinum standard by which all golden-yellow Trumpet Daffodils have been judged since. Sadly, it's not been grown commercially for some time now. We offer you Trumpet Daffodil Dutch Master, the best King Alfred look-alike based on its vivid yellow color, strong substance, classic form, health and excellent naturalizing capability.

Named the Best Daffodil at the 2017 Philadelphia Flower Show, this fragrant Brent Heath hybrid has up to four stems per bulb and up to four creamy-white flowers per stem. It's a wonderful companion to Triandrus Narcissi Moonlight Sensation and Sunlight Sensation.

Boasting of Jonquilla parentage, Sweet Ocean is a fragrant, multi-flowering hybrid courtesy of Karel van der Veek. Changing colors while in bloom, it has a yellow to ivory perianth and densely packed, frilly orange petaloid segments variably accented in yellow to deeper orange to apricot-pink. The flouncy perianth matures to almost white. Sweet Ocean is amazingly beautiful and fragrant.

This longtime favorite yields large trusses of fragrant, snow-white flowers with up to two stems per bulb. Flowers in four to six weeks once potted after the top growth is at least 1 1/2" tall. Best potted from mid-October to early March.

Also known as the Wood Hyacinth or Spanish Bluebells, this invaluable 1906 heirloom has graced European woodlands for centuries. It has strappy, linear foliage and strong, 12" to 15", rigid, upright stems with 15 to 20 pendant, bell-shaped flowers in the most beautiful shade of shimmering blue-violet with darker, marine-blue midveins.

The Giant Snowdrop. The best variety for naturalizing in American gardens, this large-flowering Greek native, circa 1874, has broad, ivory flowers tipped green with gray-green foliage. It well deserves it's many awards.

It has enormous, snow-white flowers with reflexed petal tips and a heady perfume. Abundant producers for lush garden display or summer flower arrangements, Orientals have large reflexing flower petals and a wonderfully sweet fragrance. Plant Orientals near terraces and bedroom windows, alongside well-visited summer porches and in cutting gardens so you may savor their heady fragrance. We ship them to the coldest areas first, just as soon as they are in from the Dutch harvest in mid-October.

Anastasia has huge, glistening white flowers with deep rose-pink brushmarks overlaid with a pale pink flush, dark rose speckles and narrow lime-green nectary furrows. Orienpet Lilies combine the stature of the Chinese Trumpet Lily with the exotic beauty of the Oriental Hybrid Lily. Their huge, waxy flowers have slightly recurved petals, elongated anther-tipped stamens, and a subtle, fruity fragrance.

Sparkling with the ocean’s infinite spectrum of shimmering blues and whites, M. Ocean Magic yields slightly conical racemes that gradually blend from deep cobalt-blue at its base, to paler blue, to even paler blue, eventually cresting into wave-frothed white caps above ample foliage clumps. It has a pale sweet fragrance.

This huge Symphony variety is bright Orient-red and is one of the two best, large, solid red varieties for Christmas. Its huge flowers measure about 8 3/4" across on short, stout stems that grow to only about 12" tall.
