Wines of South America
Sommelier Steve Bodell hosts a wine tasting, featuring wines of South America, on Wednesday, October 9th at 6pm. $40 per person.
Wine has been produced in South America for over 500 years. They have exported many of today’s most popular grape varieties – chardonnay, cabernet sauvignon, and malbec as well as some lesser known grape varieties like bonarda and torrontes. Wines from countries such as Chile and Argentina are modestly priced, yet have very high quality. In this seminar we’ll explore some of the reasons for this as well as try a broad selection of South American wines.
