We have weekly storytelling and Stay & Play activities as well as special arts and crafts, STEM, and reading programs all year round. You’ll find lots of other families to connect with too.

Free and open to all, this weekly unstructured playtime is supervised by parents and caregivers, and aimed for children ages infant to four. Every Friday 10 a.m.-12 p.m. in the Children’s Play area on the library’s lower level.

YMCA Summer Eats!
Starts July 10! Every Friday at noon through August 21, join us on the lawn for a picnic lunch! You’re welcome to bring your own from home for the whole family and the YMCA will be providing FREE lunch to children under 18 years of age. No registration required!
LEGO: Build it! Monthly Meetup
We will meet on July 11, due to being closed on July 4 for the holiday. On the first Saturday of each month, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., children 5+ can enjoy free play time with Lego at the library!

Monkey Fist Keychain Workshop
Join Becky for this fun nautical workshop in partnership with the Chapoquoit Yacht Club, on Thursday, July 16 at 3 p.m. We’ll warm up by tying a few basic sailing knots and then create a monkey fist keychain to keep! Best for ages 10+.

Mad Science – Fire & Ice
Saturday, July 18 at 3 p.m. This spectacular show thrills audiences with impressive science experiments. The event includes foggy dry ice storms and demonstrates how giant beach balls can float in the air. Prepare to be amazed by sizzling, shivering scissors and special bubbly showers! Space is limited.
