West Falmouth Library is pleased to announce Colleen Cunningham’s hiring as Managing Librarian. Ms. Cunningham brings leadership experience in public library operations and skills in community outreach, circulation operations, and collections development to the Library.
Commenting on her new role, she shared, “I am very excited to join West Falmouth Library as Managing Librarian. I look forward to meeting the community and contributing my skills to the WFL team.”
Library Executive Director Molly Akin summed up her and the Library Board’s enthusiasm for its new Managing Librarian, “Colleen brings a wonderful combination of library credentials and a commitment to patron service and community engagement. We are delighted to welcome her to the WFL team.”
Ms. Cunningham holds a BA from Penn State and a Master of Library Science (MLS) degree from Texas Woman’s University. Prior to joining West Falmouth Library, she served as Assistant Director at Jonathan Bourne Public Library. She held multiple roles at the Westbank Community Library in Austin, Texas before relocating to the Cape in 2023.
