Let’s Get Ready to Summer!

Calling all families and children! Start the summer off right with “Let’s Get Ready to Summer!”, a seasonal kickoff event at West Falmouth Library on Saturday, June 20 11 a.m. –1 p.m. All activities are free, and will include a UV Activity Booth with sun beads. Learn the difference between the sun’s light rays–from those we see to those we can’t see. Kids ages 5-11 will have a blast making their own solar bead creation that reacts to the sun’s UV rays; Makai shave ice; corn hole, jumbo connect 4 and other lawn games!

We’ll launch the Summer Reading program, with options for children Grades K-2 and a second option for all ages. Attendees can also pick up punch cards, part of a new program to positively promote library visitors to think about alternative parking solutions (Swift Park, Bike Path), or walk, stroll (with your stroller) or roll (on your bike, scooter, roller blades!) to the library 5 times for a prize (branded water bottle, while supplies last).
